Senior Lawyer

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Drafting and reviewing contracts and legal opinions (including legal analysis, drafting, and review of loan agreements and syndicated loan documentation);
  • ​Providing legal consultations to the Bank’s departments (including legal support to business units);
  • Providing legal support in the development and implementation of new products;
  • Representing and protecting the Bank’s interests before public and private entities;
  • Providing legal consultations to the Bank’s departments;
  • Ensuring the Bank’s policies, procedures, and agreements comply with the requirements of the National Bank of Georgia and applicable legislation;
  • Drafting and updating the Bank’s documentation and agreements in accordance with legislative changes;
  • Performing other tasks within the scope of the Legal Department’s functions.

Qualifications Required:

Education: Master’s degree in Laws;
Work Experience: Minimum of 5 years work experience as a lawyer particularly in Private Law (Bank or a Financial institution);
Languages: Fluent in Georgian; C1 – Advanced-level knowledge of English, Intermediate-level knowledge of Russian;
Technical knowledge and skills: Knowledge of Civil Code of Georgia, Law of Georgia on Activities of Commercial Banks; other banking regulations; Good legal writing skills; Contract drafting; Intermediate-level knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs.
